Retail Return Policy

Consumer Returns Within Thirty (30) Days of Purchase

VTech will only accept product returned by the Consumer to the Retailer within thirty (30) days of purchase by the Consumer. The product must:

  • be in like new condition (without Consumer damage or wear),
  • be complete with all accessories that were included with the product at the time of purchase,
  • have the original packaging,
  • have been purchased by the Consumer at Retailer’s store,
  • have been purchased by Retailer from VTech within the last fifteen (15) months.
  • be a VTech phone, VTech headset, AT&T residential phone, VTech Baby Monitor, VTech Soother or LeapFrog Baby Monitor

Consumer Return Period

After thirty (30) days the Retailer shall inform the Consumer to contact the VTech/ATT Call Center for further instructions and product warranty support. Requesting Return Authorization

Before product will be accepted by VTech for return, Retailer must obtain a Return Authorization (RA) number. For RMA authorization requests, Retailers should visit https://customer.vtechphones.com/ to request an RMA. Once the product(s) have been verified, the Retailer will receive the assigned RA. VTech will honor RA’s for sixty (60) days of issuance. A credit memo will be issued within thirty (30) days from receipt of authorized returns. No deductions are allowed without an accompanying debit memo. The failure of VTech to insist upon compliance shall not constitute a waiver of its right in the future.

Open Return Authorizations

Only upon the prior written agreement of VTech will VTech accept Open RA.

Retailers who have received written approval will be able to ship returns on the acceptable SKU list, which is provided by VTech. To reduce administrative time and cost, we encourage you to consolidate your returns. VTech considers Open RA to be a privilege and as such VTech reserves the right at any time to withdraw the Retailer’s Open RA if the unauthorized returns exceed five percent (5%) over a rolling three (3) month period. The failure of VTech to insist upon compliance shall not constitute a waiver of its right in the future.

Products Not Accepted for Credit:

VTech will not accept return of the following products:

  • Products returned to the Retailer by the Consumer within thirty (30) days of purchase that do not meet the conditions set forth above in Section – “Consumer Returns Within Thirty (30) Days of Purchase”
  • Products not authorized on the RA
  • Accessories (i.e. batteries sold separately, etc.)

All unauthorized products will be disposed of by VTech at no additional charge to the Retailer.

No additional credit will be issued to the Retailer.

The failure of VTech to insist upon compliance shall not constitute a waiver of its right in the future.

Packing Exception

Each product should be returned in the original packaging. If the original packaging is not available, please place the product in protective packing, such as bubble wrap. Place the product in the shipping container to prevent damage. DO NOT wrap the product with tape where the tape is in direct contact with the product.

Multiple Carton Shipments

For multiple carton shipments affix RA /return request form to the outside of each carton in the shipment. Identify the number of cartons in the shipment by marking each carton with a carton number (i.e. “1 of 4”, “2 of 4”, etc.) RA number must appear on the outside of each carton.

Pallet Shipment

Place only one RA/return request form on each pallet – DO NOT MIX RA’s ON A PALLET. The RA number should be included on the Bill of Lading. Carrier’s are required to request a delivery time twenty four (24) hours before delivery, call 210-244- 0620. Bill of Lading should be accessible on the outside of the box.

Paperwork to Include with all Shipments

To insure timely and accurate credit; the following information should be included on the paperwork accompanying the return shipment:

  • Account Name
  • Store Number (if applicable)
  • Street Address
  • City, State and Zip Code
  • Account’s Reference/Debit Memo Number

The RA number should appear in the top right hand corner of the claims paperwork.

The RA Number should be clearly visible on the outside of all cartons to insure timely processing.
